Well since my miscarriage I have been feeling a bit better since my daughter gives me the strength to move on.I thought …
I am so very sorry that I haven't been able to get on here and catch up with everyone. I want to take each day and catch up with everyone. I wanted to say HI and that I am doing ok. The last few weeks have been good. I've been very busy at work and it's going great, one of the bosses gave me a great compliment today too! It makes me feel good that I'm fitting in just great. I like doing what I'm doing and helping the company get organized. I'm handling the accounts payable and accounts receivable. I am also updating their program in the computer and getting them organized to help keep track of their jobs properly.
I have been wearing my peodometer and yesterday I had over 13k steps, which included 3 miles of running outside in my area (3 laps). We took the dogs for walks the last 3 days too, Jimmy and I. Today I got 7722 so far and it's almost 9:30pm. Worked from 8-4 and then the only exercise I got was walking the dogs and just basic chores around the house, etc.
I've been eating better, the last 2 days good with cals being around 1200-1400 cals. Today not as good cuz we had burgers on the grill and Jim fried up some mushrooms.
Will do better, tomorrow is another running day so I need to eat better.
Jimmy is out of school now. We taught him how to ride his bike. Our roads aren't the best so we taught him in the grass. It is so much harder on the grass too. He did it the 1st day and then the next day we worked on him pushing off on his own. We got a good work out cuz we were running thru the grass and giving him a good push off. We have been playing more ball in the yard too which is so nice. Spending a lot of time outdoors which is best for all of us.
Jimmy starts camp Monday so this week he has been at Jim's mom's since Jim is also working days. Tomorrow Jim's mom had Dr appt so he is going to my sister-in-laws, my brother is off too so that will be nice. They have 3 kids but the oldest boy has his last day of school (1/2 day). I would normally not have her watch him but I just watched her kids not long ago and when I don't have any other backups then I have to ask, and I hate asking others to watch him. I know he will have fun though. Thursday he will be back at Jim's moms but Friday Jim is off so it will be a boys day together.
I have been keeping a food journal at home. My weight has been steady 140-143.
Oh, last weekend we took Jim show/drag car to a car show and he got 1st place. We were debating if we were gonna go cuz the weather was iffy with rain. Towards the end it did start to sprinkle so Jim drove the car to his buddies right down the street (he wasn't home) and parked in the garage for a while. We went back to the show till the end and waited till they gave out trophies and then we had to go back to get his car. We took Diesel with, he had a great time - socializing is best, he did really good for being 4 months old, he's not a normal puppy, not a bitter, relaxed, not all crazy - thankgoodness. We weighed him the other day and he's 61 lbs. OMG, he's gonna be huge I think. Some Mastiffs weigh over 200 lbs. Our biggest Mastiff was in the 180's, Maggie is about 110 lbs. Zeus is the Rott and he's about 125. That is big for a Rott. But they all are doing great.
On the water note - Thanks Nat :-) I have been drinking about 2 bottles, need to increase more and get in at least 4, been slacking in that dept. and drinking more diet pop (well 1 can a day) but I drink iced tea at home (does that count). We use splenda when making it. Nice and refreshing cold.
No plans this weekend. Jim's birthday is Sunday and he goes back afternoons, yuk! I'd like to make it to the gym one of these days. Just been running out of time.
June 20th my friend is having a block party and then on the 28th I have that duathlon and then a bridal shower in the afternoon, busy day!
Oh, last weekend I also went out with my friend Margie. We had a good time, we actually went to a beer garden with some of her friends and watched a band called Infinity - they play Journey music and such. They are really good but man it was crowded. I don't go out often and I really didn't want to go but I did, here I had to be at her house at 7:30 at night - I wound up getting home after 1am. After the beer garden we wound up going into this so called biker bar, not my cup of tea, but it was ok, not a typical biker bar that you would think,,,,, hee hee. The band was so lound and not my type of music either, more headbangers music I think. Heavy metal I guess. I didn't feel the best the next morning, I only had 4 Mikes hard lemonades and then 2 cokes, I drove. So I'm set for another year, ha ha ha....
We'll I'd better get going.
So now I'm off to read a few journals so I can catch up and comment on everyone's journals too!
Thanks for understanding!
Kathy

I'm so glad the job is good. It's so important to know they like you so it was good of the boss to mention it to you. Sounds like all is well in your neck of the woods. Nice job with the food logs and the real life exercise getting little Jimmy involved. I'm glad you got out with your friend too, we need that break sometimes to realize we are individuals not just mom/wife/ceo's of the household. Hope you have fun with all the upcoming events! Happy birthday to Jim too! Love you Kathy! Thanks for being such a good friend and for everything you said on my journal. You're always apologizing for not being on as much and I want you to know I get it. It's fine with me, I know yout DS time mostly came from the old job. Just keep popping in when you can, I'm thrilled to hear from you. (((HUG)))

61 lbs at 4 months???? OMG!!! I can't even imagine! My little girl is 58 lbs full grown! I cannot even imagine what a 200 lb dog would look like.
I am so happy for you! Hope you have a great week and a great weekend! Sounds like some fun stuff coming up. It is great to "hear" the happiness now in your journals! Yeah!

Sounds like life is busy and good over there! That is so good to hear. We all understand that you're busy so don't feel bad about being away! It's just great to know you are doing well.
Sounds like you are doing very well with eating/exercising too! A few slip ups here and there will happen but you're maintaining so that is good.
I can't believe how big your dog is! Olsen (my pit bull mix) is about 55 pounds and he's one! I can't imagine a 200 Olsen! ha!

I am so glad to see a Kathy update! Yay! :) I am really glad that your job is working out well for you, and that you like them as much as they like you! It sounds like a wonderful match! That is so cute about Jimmy learning to ride his bike on the grass- you are right about it being much tougher than concrete! Go Jimmy! It sounds like you have your eating and exercise under control, which is so awesome! I am really happy to hear that things are going well for you. Keep us posted! HUGS!

Hi Kathy. I feel like I haven't chatted with you in forever! I'm glad you are doing good at work. Sounds like you had fun with your friends. It's always good to get out of the same routine. I am going to update my journal after this to let you girls know what I have been up to. I can imagine how big your puppy is. I love big dogs. My dog weighs about 72 pounds and he is a short collie! Well, I hope you have a great week. Talk to you soon.
