Man I think this nice weather is just what I needed cuz I have been in such a great mood and just feeling great - YAY!
This weekend was busy but good. Got a lot of yard work and house work done ~ of course more yard work today since Jim is bringing home dirt for us to fill in our landscaping bricks we did last year. Fun stuff! ~ Great workout ahead!
I finally ran on the bike trail on Sunday and Monday - IT FELT GREAT!!!!!
It has been 3 months since I've been able to run and man I'm so glad I had the chance. It was tougher the second day actually but I did it! I also ordered an OMRON HJ-113 Pedometer and it came yesterday. I'm gonna have hubby check it out and set it all up for me ~ Thanks Laura for your info on the best one! I can't wait to use it actually.
Work is going good, I actaully told my old job about me leaving and my last day will be May 21st. The other place wants me to start full time the day after Memorial Day. They were not too happy that I couldn't give them more time but if I'm only here 2 days a week, how much time can I really give right? I told them I would help out and they seemed not worried, we will see about that ~ they hope to have someone in next week for me to train.
So the puppy is doing good, no accidents in the house which helps a great deal!!! The pup decides to trim up his stitches so we had to re-wrap his back legs and then cover with socks - little stinker. The one foot looks pretty bad so hopefully it heals up pretty good. He is due back to the vet to get the stiches removed this Saturday. They gave us a cone and then we brought him back and got a bigger cone and he was still able to get to his bandages. I'm sure the vet won't be happy about his foot but there is only so much we can do as working people. Can't keep an eye on the pup 24:7. What's done is done and hope it heals well. We had his dew claws removed cuz he actually had 2 on each foot. These claws are known for catching on things and could possibly be torn off by this happening.
So my brother, his wife and daughter are living with my parent's along with my sister, husband and her 5 kids...... My brother never asked us to stay with us - it was just something I was thinking about. They have 4 faretts and 3 cats. I wouldn't mind them coming to our house, but not all the pets...... If my brother asked then maybe we will talk about more and consider but as of right now we are not gonna offer as long as all is going well at this point with them at the parent's house. My brother is coming over to help powerwash and stain our front deck this weekend. I know it has to be tough with them at my parent's especially with the other family there - 12 in all - My parent's are probably going nuts! We will just leave as is and go from there.
I have been eating very well, keeping busy and just feeling like me again, phew! Jimmy got his first bad grade on a test at school but other than that he is all good. Jim took him fishing the other day and they did not catch a one but they had fun! Jim took him for ice cream :-) and they got to hang out.
So this weekend is MOTHER'S DAY ~ Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!!!!! We are supposed to go to Jim's sister's house to celebrate but I will probably go to my mom's too. Haven't gotten anyone anything so stopping at Kohl's on the way home from work today.
Well, I'd better get back to work but wanted to catch up. Will try to catch with everyone's journals tonight at home.

12 people in a house together!! Can you imagine, Em?? I thought my family of 5 plus 4 contractors in here everyday was BAD. Your parents are downright heroic. Your brother and sister better treat her like royalty on Mother's Day!!

I am with Laura- 12 people in a house?? Your parents must be crazy stressed out right now. 12 people plus 4 ferrets and 3 cats is INSANE for one household! Thank goodness that circus isn't at your house ;) Whew! I am so gald that your second job is offering you full time work now! It will probably simplify life a LOT with only have one work to go to. I am glad that your other job understood, I am with you on the whole leaving them notice. With only 2 days a week, I think you left PLENTY of notice!
Yay for running on the bike trail!! I am so jealous of that, I really wish I had your awesome bike trail to run on! I probably should look around, I guess I could run through the wetlands or on the beach path, but I never think of it like that. Plus, your bike trail sounds much more fun anyway :)

Great entry very positive:)Sorry about the pup, hope it heals quick, Dens aunt came over yesterday and I guess both my dogs have dew claws...she said they are supposed to be removed within days because of the pain...ouch. Hopefully we'll chat today, Im logged on and ready to catch up...

Parents are great are'nt they. We had to stay at ours a few years back due to extending the house, we ended up staying 6 months, and to be fair i could have stayed. My mum did the cooking which i hate and i did the cleaning which she hates. Happy mothers day to you too!! Hope you have a relaxing time :0)xxxx
