Well since my miscarriage I have been feeling a bit better since my daughter gives me the strength to move on.I thought …
Not sure where the time goes....
Thank you all for all your support - I really appreciate each and every one of you ladies!!!!
I think of you all the time even when I can't get on DS.
I'm doing better, things off my plate little by little, but getting there.
Sold the last puppy on Monday but we have our little puppy so taking some time puppy potty training him..... It's been 11 yrs since having a puppy again. Have a renter set for May 1st so that's a huge relief. We finally closed on our house refinance so that was good - it all went well. Been busy with both jobs but going to start full time with the new place May 26th. It has been an adjustment and learning new stuff but all this will help me in the long run. I have to realize it's ok for change and not be affraid to try new things! I've been here almost 11 years so it's hard to leave but it's something I just have to do. They do not foresee any full time work for me any time soon, business is just that slow so I have to do what's best for me and my family right now. With that being said I will have no more DS time at work
once I start full time at the other place. I will try to get on more on the weekends if I can. Jim's work just had 300 layoffs and hoping he's not next on the list. It's tough cuz he's been there almost 15 yrs at the end of this year and it would be just devistating if that happened. Hoping for the best! Please........
I've been doing ok though. Got on the scale and it said 139 so felt good about that, especially since just finishing up that time of the month. The last 2 days I have been clean eating and already feeling good and have that positive attitute back and want to be back in the game of healthy eating and exercising. It's been tough making time for exercising but will get it figured out. I am constantly going - no downtime for the last 3 months..... I do want to invest in a podometer to really see how many steps I get in a day - any one have any model/brand suggestions??? please let me know.
Food Log for Today:
Few grapes this morning
260 Jimmy Dean D-Light Breakfast Sandwich
180 Almonds
140 Fiber One Bar
250 Turkey/Broccoli Fit N Active Pocket
130 Fiber Plus Bar
105 Banana
80 Gala Apple
Approx 1145 cals before dinner and snack???
Our puppy had his dew claws removed and also got neutered Thursday so his back legs are all bandaged up and has to wear a cone too. So it's been rough with all this rain cuz he can't get his bandages wet. We have been picking him up to take him out and putting on baggies on his little feet, too funny! Have to take him back to the vet to change his bandages and then in a few weeks to get his stiches removed too. Lots of trips to the vet lately with him just being a puppy.
Last weekend we did more work on the rental. We bought some landscape timbers to run down each side of the sidewalk where the hasta's are and across the front of the house. Looks much better. Still have to get mulch now to fill it in. Helps with the curb appearance for sure!
Anyways, it's time for me to go now, at work. Will try to catch up later. Wish you all the best, hope you all are feeling good and just living the happy, healthy life that we all want!
Take care and talk soon! ~ Kathy

Well I can say that I am feeling stronger and stronger each day since my miscarriage and look forward to trying again …
Well have to say that I am quite content right now as for yesterday my period started and I know that I am back to …
Congrats on keeping the weight in check. I know how tough that is for you (all of us) when it's stressful. And you have your share of stress lately. I'm glad the new job seems to be working for you. I'd be nervous switching too. I've been at the hospital for a long time and it's like home to me. Can't imagine leaving. Great about all those puppies being out of your hair. Now training your pup...I'd help but I've had enough. My little one is good to go on the potty now, he even gets up at night to go. Hope your furry little one gets it as quickly and I hope he feels better soon. I've had a few pedometers, remember the blitzing wars with Docc last summer? But I always found them to be unreliable. Seemed I was taking more steps than I was getting credit for. Who wants that?!? Hope Jim's job is OK, that's scary. Bet since he has so much time in he'll be fine. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys.
Glad to see an update, I was wondering how things were going in the Kathy house. Love you lots! ((HUG))

I'm glad to see things are set to start slowing down for you. The renter and the puppies has got to make you feel so relieved. Why did you remove your dog's dew claws? I've never heard of that. Hmm. Sounds difficult to keep them all out of the wet and all. I know about all the vet appts - I am just FINALLY finished with taking Otto in all the time. It was such a pain in the butt. Because he is so small, they insisted on doing one shot at a time. That meant EVERY SINGLE WEEK I had at least one appt. But totally worth it for all that adorable puppy breath! Glad you are going full time, and I will keep your husband in my thoughts.

I'm so glad you posted! It sounds like the hurricane is winding down, not clear skys YET but they're on the horizon. WOOHOO 139!! That's so awesome, kathy. I know its hard, but I hope you find some you time. You deserve it. And when you're at your best self, you're able to give your best to your boys and work and everything else. Your food looks great today! What are those fit and active pockets?? Are they good?? :) love you kathy. Stay strong!

Seems like things are starting to settle down over there, that's good to hear. It's hard to make such big changes but being full time will definitely be much better for your family, and probably take some stress off your shoulders. Congrats on the weight maintaining--it's great that you have been able to keep up with your hard work despite everything else that has been going on. Have a great day!

Oh Kathy I am so glad you updated! Yay for being out of the woods with the puppies, hopefully all is well with the new one soon and he settles in to the family :) Kris' job is the same way...they laid off 300+ and he is left and we are really hoping it stays that way. 1st shift is days, so that means more daycare for the summer and more money. We will get it figured out though. I'm so happy you will get full time at the new job but I can understand it will be hard to leave your other job. It is hard to embrace change, but I bet it will make your life much less stressful! 139 is AWESOME! I wish I were there with you! You did awesome getting through such a stressful time! Great job! Omron, Kathy, it HAS to be an Omron. Even my Biggest Loser armband wasn't accurate enough. Mine is an Omron HJ-113 (it's awesome and deadly accurate) and JoyceM has an Omron HJ-112 that she loves. I bought a friend of mine the HJ-112 and she loves that one too. I've even counted my steps downtown and back and it was within 10 steps of accuracy after over 2000 steps. I LOVE it. Totally motivating to get those 10,000 steps in. The best price and easiest place to find one is eBay. It has to be a new one. If you don't eBay, I can always shop for you.....MMMMmmmmm shopping......

so happy to see an update from you...so sorry that it took me this long to get out my comments! been crazy here.
Sounds like things are pretty much crazy busy for you too! Pups are loads of work and it seems like it has become a full time job for you!
Hope that work is going well, it may be scary but once you're there a little longer you'll be a fixture, I am sure.
Hope everything works out well for Jim and his job.
My pedometer is nothing fancy...I can't check history or calories burned or exactly how long I walked but it works for now. I'd be lost without it. They are tricky though. You need to figure out with each pair of pants the best way to wear it...and sometimes that means clipping it to the band of my underwear! LOL!
Also, if you think it is cheating you out of steps give it a step count test. That will give you a good idea of how to figure out the true number of steps you actually took.
Love you!

I have an Omron as well. Thank you Laura! It was her recommendation. I can get the model number if you need it. I got mine from Amazon.com. Cost me like $30, but I got the top of the line one that comes with the cd rom. Has 40 day memory, calculates your aerobic steps, and it comes with a USB cord. I just plug the pedometer into my USB port in my computer and download all of my steps. It keeps track of everything! Love it, love it, love it. I can print graphs per day, month, year, etc. It calculates calories, steps, miles, minutes, etc.
