Today I received the joyous news that my son, Cian's dad is in jail again. Parole revocation compounded by Theft Over $ 5,000 and Forgery Over $ 5,000. And this is on top of the call I got last week from Mandy (Cian's mother) telling me that she has Hepatitis C and liver failure.
Do I cry or laugh?
The girls, Laura and Brandi, are into their own lives and goings-on and have no understanding of what I am facing. Nor do they seem to care. Maybe because it is life as usual for them---Brett has been this way all of his life and they both told me that his behavior wouldn't last. I tried to have more Faith in them both. HA!!!!!!!!
As this is Brett's third conviction (if he is convicted), the three strikes rule applies and you are considered an habitual offender and he will do serious time. Mandy may not live long enough to raise her son (even if she wanted to).

focus on your grandson,, he needs you,, as the grandaughters do,, let the adult children take care of themselves,,this just might save what sanity you have left,,, this is the way I had to do it in order to save what sanity I have left ,,, give your children the same attitude they give you,,, it worked for me so far,,, love you mf, hope things get better soon,, you are in my prayers,,, I think you knew Brett wouldent make it very long out of jail,,,, God Bless you,,, Jackie

I know what you mean.. a leopard does NOT change their spots!! My X is back in prison too. he broke parole!! No surprise...
Don't you have the papers for custody in motion now?? Cian only thinks of you as his "mom".. and better you than the real one.. she gave UP her choice awhile back.. right?? So go on and get them papers finalized...
I understand you being upset that your kids are the way they are now... but remember my friend>> it's THEIR choices and NOT yours!!
