Hello everyone. It's been a long time since my last journal. Since then, my MG has been about the same, arm, leg and hand weakness. I've been taking vitamins and trying to eat healthier. It hasn't gotten any better but it hasn't gotten any worse. I am currently taking mestinon up to 4 times a day. I take 2-60mg pills a day. I had a nerve conduction test done which of course was positive. I had a MRI of my spine done and a CT scan of my chest in which both of them were negative. Now I have to be started on prednisone and Immuran. I'm kind of nervous to start on steroids. I have to get bloodwork done every 2 weeks. Get all types of tests done. i'm getting a little depressed. Has anyone ever had problems with steroids? has it helped before a thymectomy was done? I'm just so worried about having a thymectomy.

An uncomplicated life with MG is difficult. Stay away from any infections. I got pneumonia and am still trying to get back from it. Enjoy the nice weather and walks. I can't wait to start that also. I'm working on an MDA clinic for more help as my doctor has had only one other patient with MG and that case is uncomplicated eye related only. Take care of yourself.
