I just found out today that a teacher at a special school slapped an autistic child. I was very upset. It just makes me so scared for my 6 y/o son. He still really isn't talking that much on his own and it just scares me to think someone could hurt him and I would never know. It really upsets me that the school that it happened at is a special education school! The teacher had the nerve to blame it on the fact that she didn't have aides in the classroom, and that she has diabetes and the school system didn't help her. That's some BS! I'm just scared and worried. I don't want that happening to my son.
