This is something I could hear my grandfather telling us from all the way up in Heaven. My grandfather passed away last September from cancer, and it killed me inside. I cried, and cried, and cried some more. I still cry. All someone has to say is grampa and I cry. I miss him. So much. But I recently knew what he was trying to tell me on the last day I got with him. I get it now.. here's his message.
When I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve & shed wild tears
and hug your sorrow to you
through the years
But start out bravely with a gallant smile,
and for me sake, and in my name
Live on & do all the things
just the same.
Feed not your lonliness
on empty days
but fille ach waking hour
in useful ways
Reach out your hand in comfort
and in cheer
and I in turn, will comfort you
and hold you near.
And never, never be afraid to die
for I am waiting for you in the sky.

This is lovely. Debbie
