yesterday was so stressful. Last week I put in an order for a new shipment of vital jr. (javon is on total entereal care and prednisone free right now). I called on Monday to track where the order was and there was no tracking number. They told me not worry, that tracking numbers usually don't come up(?) and to call again Tuesday morning.
Tuesday morning at 10:30 I called again as Javon drank her last drink and got put on hold a dozen times only to find out I would be put on perpetual hold till noon. At noon I found out that they would be shipping Texas and it would arrive Wednesday morning. I blew a gasket.
Long story short I petitioned my insurance company in person and got released from that home health agency and will now be able to work with Children's home health. Javon got some free sample cans to tide her over till today from Children's. Lot's of driving and running around.
The bottom line is that Javon is doing really well on this tx plan. Her flare has been very quiet since mid May and she is prednisone free for almost a week. She has 2 more weeks of entereal care b/f she goes back to a general diet of reintroducing one new food a day.
For anyone who is prednisone dependent this tx may be a viable option for you.
Javon is also on flagyl and Humera. She is on a flagyl taper right now. She also takes Mirolax daily to keep the colon sparkly clean.

Hi Jenni, I"m so glad Javon is finally doing so much better. but I'm sorry you had a problem with her med....isn't that so frustrating? I go through that sometimes with my meds, I want to scream. it's like they do stuff like that on purpose.
but stick with the good new, it's all getting better, and you can get part of your life back again. Poor Javon can start hers again.
