OLD BORDER

NEW BORDER

Well, you can see what I have been up to....more  renos. On Thursday my girlfriend, Nat, came over at 8:30 and we started in on putting up the new kitchen border. It was a little longer process than usual because the deco fiber on the wall had to be sprayed with hot water and then we had to remove about 2 and ½ inches if it. The new border is considerably wider. Then, of course, we had to roll down the fiber again to the new border and tidy the edge. But the end result was worth it. I am really pleased with it. This border fits so...much better with my color scheme. And when I get the wainscoting painted white from the present pine it will look even better.I always have stuff rolling around in my mind to do. If I am not making changes I am not happy. I have plans for the downstairs bathroom next. Haven’t told hubby yet. But he will be okay with it.I still don’t feel up to par but I have been without my celebrx four five days and that certainly did not help my leg pains. I got it last night and took it immediately. I should feel the benefits by tomorrow.I am finding that the DS site has very few people on it these days. I wonder where everyone is. Probably trying to get fall work done. Or it may be that some of my dear friends are ill. I wish all of you well.Debbie

I have been finding my way on here most days but after I've read peoples journals and visited groups I dont always manage to write things.
I'm feeling pretty lazy, tired, achy...looks like your feeling better, at least your getting things done again. I'm in a slump here, just barely managing to get the house kept fairly clean is all I'm handling.

I've been busy with my new house. My daughter came up with my granddaughter and they helped me put up all my pictures. I couldn't decide where to put what and my daughter had great ideas. Together we got them all up and I love where she suggested we hang them. Smart cookie when it comes to decorating! Anyway we got a lot accomplished. No pictures piled up in two rooms anymore, all up where they belong. Downstairs is all put together now, though, I have room for a small cabinet for my desk supplies, so I may look for a little one to stain to match my desk. I also had a new water filter put in, since the problem with the water is an on-going problem with sediment, especially after the hydrofracture that I had to have done to give me more water. There was sediment and iron in the water before too, so no getting around it. The cold water is doing good already but the hot water is still very rusty-looking from the hot water heater being full of sediment from the hydrofracking. I hope it clears but doesn't look good right now. It is a real pain since I need to be able to use the hot water and it is not really useable at this time. Plumber is going to come back next Saturday and check out the situation then...we'll see what the water looks like then. I am almost thinking of getting a new hot water heater (maybe a smaller more energy-efficient one) but hate to since this is a new one (new house)but an older well. Know anything about water filters?
I like your border, looks really nice. But then I like most of your projects that you do...smiles...

I'll tell you where I have been. WORKING. I worked today 7 hours and last night 1:00-4:00 a.m. so I guess that was this morning. Friday day I worked 7 hours and 1:00-4:00 Friday morning. Worked Thursday 9 hours in the day and another 3 in the morning. Have a hard time with that. I want it to be night when it is dark not morning. Anyway it has been a really hard week. I will be off now till Wednesday night, well Thursday morn 1:00-4:00. I am 95% done outside and it is supposed to be 62 tomorrow, I can't wait. Not sure what I will do but I am sure there are a few tings I can come up with. Missed the pretty day today...working. NOw that the leaves are done and the plants are pruned you can see the plumes of the ornamental Zebra grass, they are so beautiful. I should take a pic. They are white and fairly large, about the only thing pretty to look at in the winter. Good luck with your projects. I have not started mine yet. I am going to wait till I am not baby sitting the Grandma's before I start. That middle of the night job is just to much. Hugs Naomi xo
