I'm an Aussie mum, married with two beautiful kids, Alyssa (5)& Jack (7). Jack was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when he was 4. I'm incredibly frustrated at the moment & in need of some encouragement from others with kids with AS.

I do understand. Your sister doesn't - this is very real and very 'normal' for our AS kids. Stick with it. You can't reason with a hysterical child (or anyone for that matter) you're doing the right thing. Like it was suggested, go with your instincts and don't feel you have to apologize to anyone or even explain. The general public and sometimes family will never understand - but we do. You're at the right place.

Hi, I'm an Aussie mum of 2, and my son was diagnosed with AS last year. I have finally realised I need support from others dealing with AS, as not everyone understands the day to day challanges we encounter!
