About 9 months ago, I went to our local emergency room with a severe headache and a blood pressure through the roof. They did a CT scan and said it didn't show anything. I have continue to have headac hes as well as significant weakness on the left side my body. My new doctor had an EMG done and the doctor who did it reread my CT scan and informed my doctor I have a Mengingioma. This is occuring 9 months after the initial CT scan.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 about 4 years ago. In addition to the diabetes, I also have hypertension, dystonia, carpal tunnel, and a meningioma (I just found out about this last week). Diabetes runs in my family and I have been controlling it with pills and diet.
I have moderate carpal tunnel in both hands - my hands and arms go numb most of the time. I have been told to have the surgery, but am worried about whether it really helps or not. I am also dealing with a Meningioma that I was just diagnosed with on Friday.
I have had high blood pressure for over 3 years. I started with Lisiniprol and now Coreg was added to my regimen. I was told by my doctor that I am not to go back to my current position because of the stress involved.
I have had depression for most of my life as has my mother. My older sister is bi-polar as well. My children are also in the same position. I want to know how to stop this terrible pattern with my family. My depression can be debilitating at times, but it is not my only problem. I have diabetes, hypertension, dystonia, and now I found out I have a Meningioma (brain tumor). I sure wish my luck would start changing.
I was diagnosed with Dystonia about 3 years ago. My doctor keeps saying I need to have Botox injections. I keep refusing them because I am afraid of what they will do to me. I also didn't believe that the dystonia was causing all of my problems. Well, it turns out I was right, I have a Meningioma in my right front lobe. I still want to hear about anyone who has had the Botox injections.
