Well I am back for the year from Boy Scout camp and had a blast.  I became a certified NRA instructor for Rifle Shotgun and Muzzelloading. Was a Commissioner for a couple weeks and learned to play keno (lol) won $350. Met a lot of ppl and made a lot of good connections. I really think I am going to like volenteering for the scouts.

The summer started out not having a clue what to do but I caught on quick. got a lot of time answering questions and helping the scout leaders. Ate camp food and lost a lot of weight 15# and then started figuring out the schedule. I was able to get into town a few times a week and started having fun getting to know the locals.

After a couple of weeks they were having a shortage of personnal on the Rifle range so they asked me if I would mind certifing for a position on the range because of my Military background. What the hey I figured something new and fun. And it was. I even built a pop up target for the range to add some fun to the shoot ing at the rifle range everyone loved it.

The last week I went back to just being a commissioner and the break and end to summer was great. There were alot of behind the scenes politics going on though that I was glad to keep out of.

Turns out the Camp Director got a 21 yr old girl friend (he's 66) and made her business manager and paid her a whole bunch and really is setting himself up for a good sexual harassment situation if she gets pissed off. It has been the biggest gossip of the scouts it turns out and they have even sent up the national top lawyer to talk to him.

alot of the staff is pissed and will probably not come back next year and neither will some of the troops it is really sad. I kinda hope he won't be there next year but he has 25 years running the camp so he will probably be there still.
