CANDLE LIGHTING ON NOVEMBER 8
Tomorrow is the second Sunday of the month - our candle lighting day. An explanation is in order for all the moms who have joined us so recently.
At noon, whatever time zone you are in, please light a candle for your son or daughter. Most of us put our candles near a favorite photograph we have of them; some put a little bouquet of flowers. The 'accessories' are not what is important. What we are striving towards is peace - focus on quiet, happy memories of your time together. Think about the probability that wherever 'the kids' are now, they are truly alive and happy in ways we can't begin to understand. If you find yourself getting tense and upset, close your eyes and go your childbirth breating: deep cleansing breath in, blow it out while blowing out the tension; slow breaths in breathing in peace and slow breaths out letting out stress. Remind yourself that you are not alone and that there are other women in this world who are lighting their candles right beside you.
LEO'S PLAYGROUND
The Shed, owned by Jennie and Darrin Jasgur (LeosMommy and LeosDaddy), will soon be opening in Mobile, Alabama. For those who don't know, a playspace in memory of Leo will be created around a 200 year old oak tree. Folklore says that when a bell rings, an angel is getting their wings. In that light, Jennie and Darrin will be hanging bells high in the tree so that as the children play below, they will hear the bells ringing when the wind blows.
If you would like to send a bell, please contact our Jennie (LeosMommy). She will give you the mailing address. Be sure that you choose a sturdy bell, one that can withstand outdoor conditions. Your child's name or whatever you like should be engraved or written on the bell. What a beautiful tribute to our kids!
MONTHLY DATES
Birthdates and angel dates will be posted on the group page each month. If we don't have yours listed, or if we've made a mistake, please send a message. We are working on getting the 'Mommys' page updated so please be patient.
To everyone who knows me
As you stand there and watch me,
I wonder what you see?
You see me from the outside
That’s not the real me...
I go about my business
Turn up for work each day,
I try to be efficient
But my thoughts get in the way...
Sometimes you see me laughing
At funny times we share,
Sometimes you see me happy
As if I haven’t got a care...
But as you stand there and watch me
As I go about my day,
You see me from the outside
So what else can I say?
I see me from the inside
My heart is split in two,
You go about so happily
I wish I could be like you!
For being on the inside
Of me with all my grief,
Makes getting up each morning
Harder than belief...
There are reasons to be happy
My family my health,
I’m tired of being an actress...
I want to be myself!
When I see me from the inside
I see a big black hole,
There’s nothing there but darkness
No heart, no mind, no soul...
So as you stand there and watch me
Please just don’t sympathize,
Try looking from the inside
Try looking through my eyes...

Just a short reminder that THE SHED is looking for bells to hang in Leo's Playground. If you haven't gotten one yet, time to hustle!! We need to get them to Jennie in time for their opening.
God bless -
Barbara
