I am divorced and remarried, with a 10yr old daughter and a 13yr old stepson. I work part time while the kids are in school. I have been busy losing weight this last year and focusing on healing. Trying to find my place in the world, I don't seem to fit, in more ways then one.

Close Sexual Abuse
I was too young to remember when abuse started, the first thing I do remember was too graphic to have been the first time in my opinion. My stepdad was too comfortable and it went too far to have been the first. I was about 4-5 yrs. old. The abuse continued til I was 13. I tried to tell when I was 8-9, but there is a lot I don't remember. In the end, I "confessed" to making it all up. Then abuse just stopped at 13, I don't know why. I finally was able to tell someone again when I was 15.
Close Sleep Apnea
I have known for awhile that I snore, and suspected that I had a mild case of sleep apnea. As I have not had much success losing much weight, the apnea has gotten worse. I am going in for a sleep study soon, just got it approved.
Treatments
- Lose Weight Not Working
- I don't have any energy to keep up with my exercise regime, trying to count calories too. My hormones are out of whack!
Open Environmental Allergies
Type of allergy: Multiple Chemical SensitivityI have asthma & allergies
Open Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Have had multiple health issues: weight gain, infertility, sleep apnea cuz of the weight, irregular periods. Had ultrasound done in '05, they couldn't find any cysts. Was told last year that I have PCOS.
Treatments
- Metformin Not Working
- Used for 6 mo. didn't do anything for me. Felt the same, didn't lose weight, didn't get pregnant and periods were still ridiculously irregular.
- Oral Contraceptives Somewhat Helpful
- keeps me regular that's about it, but if I miss any pills I immediately start spotting.
