      hey Carolinagirl,
I'm new here, so hi :) - and I wanted to thank you for sharing your 'stuff'. I'm sorry you are enduring this MS journey. I'm w/ there w/ you - yuck. Been dx'd since Feb '02. and frankly I am still kind of surprised w/ change of each season. I still have to remind myself that 'oh, yeah, the weather...' so don't beat yourself up if you don't exactly remember next time. As you know - and the intelligent members that replied to your post know - w/ each 'episode' you never can tell EXACTLY what the source is. And the suggestion about the symptom journal/calendar is a great one that I employ. I take so many meds that I started a little notebook tracking each day - it's a blank, lined, and I just date each day at top and enter the time(s) I take my meds, how much, and at top margin I note in my shorthand LOL any new or exacerbating conditions. I also note weather - I know this sounds like a lot, but it is a teeny notebook that fits in your pocket and it really does help me keep track of everything. And easy to bring to doc's and look back and sort of connect the dots. I hope this helps...I'm feeling a bit 'muddled' today so I might be talking in circles.
Email me if you want any info or just to talk. I understand. And again, thanks for sharing. It helps to have a community where people really do 'get it'.

      Hey Carolinagirl,

Hang in there with everything. Can you tell me a little more about Keppra? I am thinking about going on Neurontin and I hear there are side effects such as weight gain (ugh!) I just took off 10 lbs and it took forever to do that. Also, drowsiness is suppose to be a side effect of neurontin. I am in school so that is not going to work. Can you fill me in? I have not been diagnosed with MS yet, but my symptoms are dead on with the description of MS. Still haven't gotten a spinal yet and I am not in favor of it. Especially if there were no lesions on my brain or spine. WB when you have time.

Hello, saw your post on the MS board and just wanted to stop by and say I hope today is a little better for you and may each day after that get even better. Sure isn't always easy that is for sure...one day at a time! You take care.
      All the best,
      Michelle
