About Me
As a "ex-con" I truly understand the importance of getting involved in the lives of what many may consider to be disposable. After serving 3 years in a Texas penitentiary I lost contact with most of my family and friends. Upon release, I attempted to re-establish relationships, but the damage had been done. In the years since my release, I have been working on a piece to explain my experiences as an American prisoner, and in doing so I've come to recognize a desire to "give back".

I would argue that attempting to tell my story using 500 characters would be a neat trick...but at least it's a start.

- I have found that writing allows me to free myself from the "prison" within.

My story isn't much different from most of the other dead-beat dads, except perhaps that I have had more time to contemplate my decisions and and learn to hate myself a little more.
