      I was diagnosed with HBP in May, 1980. I have had numerous medications through the years. Some worked, other did not, and some caused allergic reactions. The meds I'm on now seem to be working okay. I still have spikes depending on my day. It takes time to regulate your meds to meet your needs.

      Treatments

      Clonidine Working / Worked
      I take Clonidine at night. It slows my heart rate and lowers my pressure.
      Valsartan Working / Worked
      The combination of meds above appear to work for me. I am allergic to ace inhibitors. It has taken many years to find the right combination.
