Teacher, first marriage, I am my husbands third wife. I have been married ALMOST 2 years. I have one step-son, no biologcial children. passions=dance, music, theater. Currently in counseling to develop some better coping strategies in dealing with a blended family. I get along great with my ss mother -hubby and I not so well. Issues just seem to keep compounding. I like to battle the issues head on whereas my husband wants to pretend nothing happened. He is always the victim.

You are on a baby dose of Vicodin. Do not feel embarrassed or ashamed. You are not responsible for Michael Jackson's addiction and are probably nothing like him in any way. Plus, he was on opioids way stronger than Vicodin. Do not ignore or "push through" acute pain. This causes chronic pain. I have DDD, arthritis, fibro. My problems started around age 33. Docs wouldn't give me narcotics for about 3 years. In that time I developed chronic pain followed by pseudoaddiction. I am now adequately treated at age 37. Please don't wait and don't feel bad!

It's not a problem. I know what it's like wanting privacy and respect. Now I have even gone to the extreme of leaving my DH about 4 months after I had our daughter and then again about a year 1/2 ago and I tell you what sometimes it makes them wake up and realize what they are going to lose. Keep standing your ground and don't lose your self.

I just recently got married Easter weekend 2007. My husband has been married twice, I make wife number three. He has a 10 yr old son that he has custody of. I hit the ground running two days after I got married. I was thrust into the role of wife and step-mother all at once. So far, I see very few boundaries and rules for the child and it contradicts what I know about children and their need for boundaries. Our current challenge is coming together on rules and boundaries for his son.

Close Menopause
48 and beginning to experience symptoms of menopause. I have 4 fibroids that are the main source of my problems and one uterine polyp. I will be having a hysteroscopy with a myoma resection next week. My symptoms so far are night sweats and extreme vaginal itching.
Open Migraine Headaches
I started getting migraines about 10-15 years ago. I have tried everything from ergotomine to demerol to topamax. My main triggers are hormones, tar or any LOUD smell even if it is a good smell; heat, and nitrates. Heat and smells seem to create the worst migraines to where I am sick and in pain for three days. I am currently trying Cymbalta combined with Maxalt

- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- there are times when I can smell something, good or bad and it will just set off the worst migraines. The enviromental factors are the hardest to control.

- too much aspirin in it

- Imitrex Not Working
- worked for awhile then stopped working

- Side effects were not bad...manageable and went away after about a month

- has to be tylenol 3; concerned about the amount of acetaminophen i have to take

- worked for a while then. Problem was my insurance company will only pay for so many

i have a 95 yr old grandmother in a nursing home. She has been there sine 2006. Even though the nursing home do all the more difficult things, I still do her laundry, purchase her toiletries, etc. I have been here once before with my father anf I am growing a biot resentful, because, her children, my mother and uncle have used me as their "out"

- Helps a bit.I can tell a difference when I forget to take it after a couple of days
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Working well but I feel funny when I have to call in a refill especially with the recent death of Michael Jackson. It helps reduce the pain in my knee from my surgery that I had 10 weeks ago. I am considering going to a pain management doctor for long term pain meds
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- but is illegal.
- Naproxen Not Working
- makes me sick to my stomach; also makes my stomach hurt for days after last dose.
- Oxycodone Not Working
- Made me itch like crazy
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Works but is expensive. Still in physical therapy two days a week.
