Type: Loss of a Partner/Spousemy name is shirley,and i lost my husband last year.miss him terribly,but as well as talking to others who have lost parteners,i would like 2 offer support.
Treatments
- Crying Working / Worked
- still get tearful,especialy,when i see or hear something,that related 2 us.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- have,daughter & partener,and 3 grand-daughters,living close-by,seeing them alot,helps,and i have friends with whom i socialise,going for coffee etc.
Close Tinnitus
have,had tinnitus,and menieres,disease for many years now.my hearing is also greatly effected.
Treatments
- Betahistine Working / Worked
- have had tinnitus and menieres for many years.have seen specialists,who have prescribed different tablets,which only helped slightly,hearing affected alot.
- Compazine Working / Worked
- took more 4 the menieres,but didnt do alot.constant wooshing noise in bboth ears,
Open Meniere's Disease
my name is shirley,im in my early 70,s,started getting menieres whilst on holiday.

- Betahistine Working / Worked
- have suffered from menieres 4 several years.gets much worse when under stress.i lost my husband last year which brought it on really bad.couldnt even open my eyes .
- Compazine Working / Worked
- given stemitil,2 help with sickness & giddiness,not affective.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- specialist gave some physical therapy,involving moving my neck,felt awful,but seems 2 have helped a little,hearing improved slightly.
Open Fibromyalgia
my name is sharon.ive got degenerative disc disease,corroded discs,fibromyalgia,sciatica,and this is the worst flare up,ever.dont know whats causing dreadful pain in neck & shoulders,even after cortisone jabs,its getting worse.cant stand,sit or lay,properly.have had pinched discs,what exactly r herniated discs & symptoms.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Somewhat Helpful
- helped until,the dr. put the needle in a nerve,which sent my spine into spasm.never again!
- Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- helped ease pain slightly,but found it returned quickly.
- Morphine Working / Worked
- had chronic back,body pain,for 20.plus,years.flare ups getting closer together.dont like meds.but have 2 have some quality of life!
- Valium Working / Worked
- take 4 muscle spasm,help a little.am too,used to them
- Elavil Working / Worked
- supposed 2 help me sleep.does give me a few hrs.but have bad nightmares as side effect.
