Welcome to the group! I am so sorry to hear it is your husband that you are caring for. I think spouse to spouse dementia diagnosis is one of the worst. We DO share so much of our lives and our private thoughts with our spouses.. it is a great loss to you I am certain with his inability to communicate like he used to. Hang in there. Hopefully, the road, although tough, will be filled with some beautiful moments when you will know his heart, and he will know yours in ways you never experienced before this disease. Again.. welcome!

Welcome, hope you find the support and help you need here. Many of us are still feeling our way even if/when we've had experience with this disease before. What part of B.C. do you live in? We drove through there when we moved to Alaska 16 years ago and I loved the country very much.

Close Alzheimer's Disease
Stage: Early OnsetMy husband is almost 66 and just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Unfortunately his communication skills have been seriously affected. Fortunately he is happy enough (at the moment). But us having any sort of conversation or discussion is difficult for him.
