My 23 year old son went to heaven 12-25-2006. My husband had a massive stroke 3-6-2007 and is now living in a nursing home and not showing any improvements. I've been really depressed and need some advice on how to care for him at home.

My husband Lewis (51) suffered a stroke 3-6-07. He had to have a craniectomy,they removed right side of his skull. He was in Icu for almost 6 weeks. He then had a feeding tube. He is in nursing home for rehab now and isn't making much progress. He's still paralyzed on his left side. Has some problems with his vision and cognitive problems. He's lucky to be alive.He is a cancer survivor of over 20 yrs.

Type: Loss of a ChildMy 23 year old son passed away December 25,2006 after 6 weeks in Icu. He was on some medications for depression because he went blind at age 16. All his organs shut down. He lost his battle to live. I cry everyday for him. I have no answers as to why all this crap had to happen to him. He was so bright,a talented musician and just the joy of my life.

Open Bipolar Disorder
My son took seroquel for over 3 years. He went blind at age 16 and attempted suicide July 4th 2006. He was then put on depakote. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis Nov 17,2006 was in Icu for 6 weeks all his organs shut down and he passed away Dec. 25, 2006. Please be careful and go for ALL your blood screenings while on certain meds than affect some people different than others. All I'm saying is please be careful.

My husband is currently in a nursing rehab facility after suffering a massive stroke march 6,2007. I'm going to visit him daily to learn all that i need to help care for him at home. He is paralyzed on his left side.

I was diagnosed with polio when I was around 2 years old. The only side effects is a weakness and a noticibly small right hand.

- Physical Therapy Not Working
- I was only a baby and was told this by my mother that I wouldn't use my right hand one day. I was taken to the dr. and was diagnosed with polio. I am now lefthanded.

found a lump in january,had mamagram feebuary.showed one spot.had biopsy feb 29 ultrasound showed 2 spots both biospies arew cancer. found out yesterday i am going to have a bilateral masectomywithin the next week.not sure of the stage yet
