I'm actually having a pretty good day today. This morning I did everything on my to-do list for the day. Which included a bunch of phone calls. And I HATE talking on the phone. Well most of the time. Not with certain people, you know who you are ; ). The last thing on my to-do list is to drop off my stuffed animals at the Family Shelter. I'm giving up about half of my stuffed animals- 52 of them. And yesterday I gave 110 of my books to the local library. When I was a kid I would go to that library, check out the limit of books, read them all, re-read some of them, return them and start over. So it's a special thing to be able to give back to the library that gave me so much. As a kid reading was my escape and my saviour. Anyways, I have an appointment with an acupuncturist tomorrow. She specializes in muscular-skeletal and mental illness. So we'll see how it goes. I also schedualed a massage for next wednesday. I figure a full body massage that's only gentle rubbing on the actual back might be good for me. Also, Sunday I have orientation to work with the kittens up for adoption at the pet store and Monday I have orientation to work with the adult and "less adoptable" cats at the shelter. I'm excited for that. PLUS Spring Awakening is going to be performing in my area. For those of you not familiar with broadway, Spring Awakening is an amazingly powerful rock musical, written in 1981, set in Germany. It's pretty dark, there's suicide and incest and a theme of powerlessness. But I love the sound track and really want to see it. I got really cheap 4th row center tickets. I got two tickets, I have a friend who lives near-ish and I'm going to ask if she wants to come down and spend part of the weekend with me and go see it. I'm so excited. This past spring I got to see RENT live with the original Mark and Roger. I love musical theater but my parents were never big on spending money on it. Although my mom and I used to go to amature productions of Gilbert & Sullivan productions. Starting when I was in like 3rd grade. I loved it. I love theater. I can't sing, I'm not good at dancing and I'm not great at acting. But I do want to write a screen-play. It's going to be all in sign-language with subtitles- no spoken words at all. It will be beautiful.
