I am the grandmother of a 4 year old boy with autism. I am his daily caregiver and do all I can to make his world a better one. He is now in pre-school 4 half days a week. He has gone from mostly non verbal to having a lengthy vocabulary in just over a year. We are still trying to potty train but haven't mastered that yet. I enjoy helping others find things that might help their little ones with autism. Check out www.zacbrowser.com . It's free and you won't be sorry you downloaded it.

Today I joined Daily Strength in hopes that someone out there will be able to help. My grandson Cameron, is 2 1/2 and doesn't speak. He has had ear infections in the past and had tubes which have since been removed. His hearing is normal. He has an obsession with overhead fans and lights, especially the switches. He will stare, it seems forever, at a fan going around and around. He has no fear of traffic, water (pool) or strangers. Could he be autistic? We have not had a diagnosis.
