Lift Me Up

When this cold cruel world comes around,

Trying to confuse and beat me down,

I raise my hands and calling out your name,

And Lord, you’re right there to lift me up.

By your word and sacraments, you strengthen me.

Your Holy blood washed me clean and set me free.

When I’m sleeping at night or I rise to greet the day,

I can bow my head and pray and you Lift me up.

When my body is feeling down and low,

I’ll sing your praise, so your love may show.

You lift me up, when I’m weak.

You lift me up. Lord, you lift me up.

Keep me forever faithful, keep me true,

May my life forever be focused on you.

You know me a sinner, undeserving as I am,

Yet with mercy and grace you lift me up.

So when my nights are dark and cold,

Trembling no longer so strong and bold,

In prayer I’ll raise my hands to you,

And you will reach down and lift me up.

Keep me forever faithful, keep me true,

May my life forever be focused on you.
