Loving Wife
How many ways can I say I love you?
What are the words that will prove it’s true?
What can I say? What must I do?
To show just how much I love you?
When I took your hand in mine,
I told you that it was for all time.
Your eyes sparkled on the day,
I pledged my love in every way.
Yes that was a very long time ago,
But I want you to really know,
Just how much I still love you so.
So tell me how can I let you know?
How many ways can I say I love you?
What are the words that will prove it’s true?
What can I say? What must I do?
To show just how much I love you?
You are my air I breathe, my very life,
You are my refuge from the strife,
My companion the best part of my life,
My friend, my lover and my wife.
Although I may not say it everyday,
You fill my heart and mind in everyway.

A blessing, a treasure each day.

Carl, This is beautiful~~Really beautiful!!!!! Your wife is a very lucky woman!!! Tell her I said so!!! My first husband was violent, and I was beaten for thirteen years, thus my brain injury. It only took hours for the bruises to show their face but it has taken 25 years for the real brain damage to begin affecting my life! The man I am married to now is married to his job! He just came home from almost seven months in Kuwait. He works for Dow Chemical. Unfortunately, for me, he is brilliant in his work (production of ethylene) and in high demand locally and abroad. Dow is building ethylene plants in Japan, China, and Russia. I think Russia is next. He is going to the plant in Canada soon to supervise a routine "maintenance shut-down." He was in Canada for the start up of that plant back in the late 90's.
I posted a couple of my poems in my journal recently. I was wonfering why mine posted out of format? Is it because I "cut & paste?" I have a contract to publish my poetry book, "Mama's Heart." It should be in the bookstores by mid February!!! Pretty cool, huh?!!!! Again, the poem is beautiful!!!
