Perfect Father

Young men, what do you know about being a father?

What do you know about life?

Do you know what it takes to be the head of the house?

How to really support your wife?

If in your heart and mind you don’t tremble in fear,

Then in prayer get on your knees.

You don’t know what it’s about, now listen and hear,

I ask this of you please.

With all this evil in the world how can any man stand?

What of your child in the night?

Who will help you to protect them, who will understand?

What is wrong, what is right?

Look to the heavens, God is the example of a perfect father,

Search His word night and day.

If you are to make it through this world filled with strife,

Your only hope is to follow His way.

The picture of a good father is one kneeling in prayer,

Leading his family with God’s love.

That is the picture of a true man and a true father,

One that knows the Father above.
