I just lost my husband at 59. I don't know how to go on I miss him to badly. I can't control the hurt that I miss. He was having blood transfusions twice a week. Went in the hospital on a Saturday and talked and laughed until next Sat. Died Sunday. I pray for you and your family.

Thank you sooooo much...I really hope to get in touch with that lady (can't remember her name--bad about that!)who said she might be able to retrieve some of my files of this hard drive, but I'm not sure that interaction outside of the group setting is appropriate or not and I don't know where to start in getting her help anyway. Well, at least I am online now and I can get back some of what I lost since some was copied to disk and Amanda also has a few of my entries, as well. BIG HUGS BACK!!! I didn't make it to yesterday's class either...I was sooo wiped out. But I'll surely make it to the WRAP group tonight...hopefully DBT too. My visit with BettyJo went okay (while I was there)...it was my processing of it afterwrds that went "not-so-well." Anyway, I see her again on Friday and will probably bring up what happened after our session. Oh, and I did tell her hello for you...she got a huge smile and said you were such a delight! Close Myelodysplasia
I have myelodysplastic syndrome and have had six blood transfusions since Nov. 06. They help. Just saw new dr. in Atlanta that is leukemia specialist seeing if my disease has evolved into leukemia. Have a rash all over my body and had 2 skin biopsies and a new (my third) bone marrow biopsy yesterday. I am thrilled with my new dr., although it is a long way to Atlanta. I'm hoping the rash is not leukemia cutis as this has a poor prognosis. I'm still working 20 hours a week and loving my work.
Treatments
- Blood Transfusion Working / Worked
- Each time I feel better. Sometimes it works for a few weeks, but I've had them as close together as 8 days. I'm used to them now, as I've had several of them.
- Epogen Working / Worked
- Worked for awhile. Got up to 60,000 units a week, but it was just filling a hole. Didn't make any difference.
