I am a 52 year old married woman. I live alone mostly in beautiful NorCal with 4 dogs, 6 cats, 6 horses, chickens, a rabbit and abundant wildlife. The thing that keeps me going is the beauty of where I live and all my 4 legged friend who love me unconditionally and make me laugh! As the name suggests I love the sea, the ocean, the coast, the beach..whatever you want to call it. My hope and dream is to someday be wealthy enough to have a home on the ocean! A little cottage will suit me fine. Anyhow I am happy to be here at DS.

Interests
Avid reader and writer. Love nature and live in the right place for it. Love animals and have more than enough to prove it. Love to ride horses but am too old and too scared of falling to do it anymore, so now I have them as pets. I have grown children, who are the light of my life, a few grown step-kids and a couple step-grandbabies that I adore (the grandbabies, not the step-kids). I love flowers and nature. We have an abundance of eagles here and I love to watch them soaring above. I have a small sports car that I like to drive, sometimes too fast, on the mountain roads..it makes me feel happy and free. Just got my first "real" grandchild 2 weeks ago today.

Hey there! Glad to see you are back :-D ...I saw you say in another posting that you just became a grandma on Sept 19th! Awesome birth date!!! (Thats my birthday, I turned 23 on Sept 19th this year :) woo) ....Her name is beautiful. My brother and his fiancé just had a little girl a few weeks before my birthday ...They named her Eve Patricia :)
Hopefully I will catch you about (either on DS or some other form of messenger) so we can catch up :) I'm sure I have lots to tell you of whats been happening since we last chatted.
I've been absent from DS too, I've tried to keep up now and then but I've either been too tired or too busy.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was first diagnosed about 15 years ago, but didn't really understand or treat it seriously. Now realize how serious and widespread this illness is. I am trying hard to take care of myself and get better.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Been on Cymbalta about a month now. It is working great! Makes me tired but it's worth it.
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- Was on it for 3 years, dose adjusted numerous times. I have gained weight as a side effect and I don't like how that feels.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Just recently found a Psychiatrist. Really connected with him and like him. I think this will be very effective.
Close Hysterectomy
Had to have a hysterectomy 4 months after getting mnarried. DH and I had just decided to try for a baby when I got the bad news.
