Well, I'm 21 years old and a nerdy kind of womyn. Not much else to say, as I'm a bit of an enigma. The only way for people to get to know me is to actually read what I have to write and hopefully get the context of it. Otherwise, it'll be hard for people to understand me as I'm pretty dynamic due to medications, experience, maturing, and such. The only people that get me are my first gf/ex of 7 years and my best friend who I've known for 8 years. Basically if you're too lazy, you will never know the real me, but if you pay attention, you'll figure 'me' out pretty quickly.

I told you about using the super seed and the perfect food on the post but I also want to tell you about aloe (burn plant) - I take it everyday and it is great for our insides. I just break off a piece and put it in my smoothie in the mornings. Hope this helps.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease a little after Christmas in 2005. Have been living on and off meds since then and still managing.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I used to have a real problem with popcorn and dairy, but now it's an off and on kinda thing. Sometimes I can't have one or both, but they're not vital to my health.
- Azathioprine Considering
- My doctor recommended this drug for me. I haven't taken it yet, though as my hgb count is severely low.
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- I hated it and stopped whenever I felt like (DON'T DO THAT). I'm now back on it as of 6/30/07. Taking 4 a day.
- Distancing Working / Worked
- um, obviously this is kind of impossible, but I try

Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was diagnosed over trying to commit suicide March of 07. I'm not currently taking medication for it. I've always handled symptoms by getting away from situations that made my depression worse.

I've been anemic since I found out I had Crohn's in December of 2005. My hemoglobin count is usually between 6.5 and 8

- My doctor suggested it. I'm still thinking about whether I want to go through with it.
Open Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
I have been OCD ever since I can remember. I always feel dirty... even after a shower. If I drop something on the ground, I pick it up with a napkin. It's not too severe, but makes interacting with people uncomfortable at times. I hate germs, ick.
