I like cowboy stories
A young cowboy walks into the town cafe. He sits at the counter and notices an old cowboy with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of chili.
After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the young cowboy bravely asked the old cowpoke, "If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?" The older cowboy slowly turns his head toward the young wrangler and in his best cowboy manner says, "Nah, go ahead."
Eagerly, the young cowboy reaches over and slides the bowl over to his place and starts spooning in it with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom and notices a dead mouse in the chili. The sight was shocking and he immediately barfs up the chili into the bowl.
The old cowboy quietly says, "Yep, that's as far as I got, too."-

Old Man And The Beaver
An 86-year-old man went to his doctor
for his quarterly check-up...
The doctor asked him how he was feeling, and the
86-year-old said ,'Things are great
and I've never felt better.'
I now have a 20 year-old bride
who is pregnant with my child.
"So what do you think about that Doc ?"
The doctor considered his question for a minute
and then began to tell a story.
"I have an older friend , much like you, who is an avid
Hunter and never misses a season."
One day he was setting off to go hunting.
In a bit of a hurry , he accidentally picked up his
walking cane instead of his gun."
"As he neared a lake , he came across a very large male
beaver sitting at the water's edge..
He realized he'd left his gun at home and so he couldn't
Shoot the magnificent creature.
Out of habit he raised his cane , aimed it at the animal
as if it were his favorite hunting rifle and went 'bang, bang'."
"Miraculously , two shots rang out and the
beaver fell over dead.
Now, what do you think of that ?" asked the doctor.
The 86-year-old said ,
"Logic would strongly suggest that somebody else
pumped a couple of rounds into that beaver."
The doctor replied , "My point exactly."

Support Groups
Close Diabetes Type 2
Type 2 diagnosed in 2004 and hate taking meds but need to. Blood Pressure and cholestrol is high too. Trying to keep it all under control. Some days harder than others.
Treatments
- Metformin Not Working
- I don't care for metformin since I find the BS doesn't go down much. But the dr has me on it so I take it.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- I love to walk so it is good for me and eating is something more of a challenge here. I love food so it makes it harder but I keep mindful of that.
Close Rosacea
I have rosacea since 1995 and it comes and goes with the redness. My skin is very sensitive and I can't put anything on it or it will break out badly.
Treatments
- MetroGel Working / Worked
- It is ok as a topical base but I can hardly afford it anymore. So I use Aloe Vera gel which works the same way and costs less.
Open Sexual Abuse
I am an incest survivor. I am ok now but there are triggers and memories that won't go away. I find prayer works well and so does counselling. I made it out alive and beat the odds that were always stacked against me. I left the DNA clan a long time ago and never looked back. I am better than them and have a great track record of healing. It wasn't easy but I did it, I won I survived I victoried!

- It was horrible living at home with my parents enduring the abuse consistently. My father would rape me over anything from being drunk to just being stupid and ignorant.
Open Stress Management
I live day to day with work related stress.

- Bullied all day long at work with a bully boss. Hard to take some days and other days I cope better. Support groups and writing helps a great deal. DS really helps =)
Open Breast Cancer
I had a lump removed 100% benigh but I do mamos all the time and yearly clinical ones religiously.
Open Depression
I grapple with depression off and on and usually after stress builds up.

Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
I experience emotional abuse, physical and sexual abuse. I am so damn tired of it too. Enough! I am a survivor, not a victim!!!!
