It occurred to me that I've been getting steadily fatter, and doing steadily worse readings-wise, since I started going along with the new doctor's regimen. Things improved, just not enough, when I haggled her down to regular insulin and Lantus instead of Lantus and Humalog, which costs $300 combined for refills. Last night it struck me that one reason I'm getting fat is that I have to eat at night to avoid bottoming out in my sleep. In effect I'm eating FOUR meals a day instead of the two I prefer. Just to see, I skipped the Lantis last night. Lo and behold, my reading was still too high this a.m., but still 30 points lower than I'bve been having lately.
Sometimes I wonder what I pay these damned doctors for.

lol for privacy i wont mention another, but im starting to think that avoiding drs. might be a prescription for good health!! (within reason)
God Bless

Could not agree more re. Drs. Paid 237$ cash, 2 days ago, to see Neuro (another small stroke) - & he told me nothing my own Doc. didn't. Seems OK for you to stick to the routine if your blood's lower. Hope it works out for you. Fond regards, JaneD.
