...but not without casualties. I was kidding when I told the plumber "everything dies in February." I was referring to the garbage disposal, which unexpectedly gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service, but he agreed with me, and that got me thinking. Does it just seem like everyone died in February, or do they really?
A little calendar search showed that yes, many more of the people that matter to me die then. There was only one new casualty that I heard about this year, not that close to me or my favorite things -- the garbage disposal excepted -- but sure enough, I opened a new true-crime book today and there was another. I never knew her -- she died before I was born -- but she turns out to be the first cousin of a girl I grew up with AND a close relative of my dad's boss at the time.

You know, if you are in a cold winter climate, your stores of Vitamins A and D are running very low - & this leads to infection when there are loads of viruses about. Also, (turning the world up side down) - August here is the same - & I wonder if the suicide rate is higher. There must be a site I can check this out on. Tongue in cheek - JaneD.
