I'm glad we, for the most part, are on the same page about medications! I will go look for those books. My husband is the Manager of a Pharmacy and has been for 18 years. He sees it everyday. The most hopeless, helpless people that walk through that door, are the ones addicted to pills. They are only killing themselves faster!
ahhh, only a fellow aspie would think of this :) :) :) Sure, I'll see if the hubby is willing, too. We have a nice high ceiling so I shouldn't be setting anything on fire. My kids are kinda precocious (sp). Wonder if they would attempt to do likewise though? Okay hold the recipe till I talk with the hubby. Sounds good to me though :)
loved the comment in asperger group regarding twinkie covered with burbon and set on fire. I thought that was hysterical.
hi.
sorry to hear that u r gaining weight too. iam too but mine is becasue of the insulin and my ms shots. i eat 2 meals a day lunch and dinner. i eat small each like finger foods and little snacks. i have been taken cinnamon tablets 2 in the am and 2 in the pm for 4 years now and within the 1st 3 months of taken it my a1c went from 9 to 6 and i am still six. u do know that u dont have to eat anything big that will bottom out ur morning readings. i might have a few chips or a cup of sugar free ice cream. i use innovelt insulin and i use the flex pen in between meals and i have been able to keep my sugar levels between 90-116. just thought i would tell u not to give up when everything u try does not work. been there done that. so i u wan to talk i am here. take care love ya
Dx'd 13 years ago, when there was no coverage for testing supplies, so without checking they put me on insulin and said I had Type 1. I have no actual characteristics of Type 1 and now the insulin no longer works. Trying to get pills prescribed at next MD appt. Maybe that will help get people off my back -- they always get angry and bark at me that I cannot have Type 2 if I am on insulin.
I've lost 23 people I know since 2000, including my best friend and someone I'm not allowed to grieve because he isn't really my son, he only feels like my son. I hurt every day.
I am allergic to freakin' EVERYTHING. Dairy, chocolate, walnuts, tomatoes, nitrites, MSG, cola, caramel coloring, tobacco, feathers, dust, pollen, corn, mold, soy, coffee and tea.
Had 'em since I was in high school. They were in check for years and now I'm starting to get one every month when "the Cardinal visits." Yay.
I just made the move to go vegan after a week-and-a-half trial showed me how much it's improving my various wretched health problems. This is more like it. I've flirted with raw foodism as well.
I'm a social worker by trade who lives in the worst-off state in the union, economically. It's appalling that people all around me are being ruined financially because they don't have a health plan and got into a car accident or caught a nasty disease they can't afford to treat.
