I am a nurse that specializes in ear, nose and throat surgery (including facial plastics) My family consists of a husband, a daughter, who is the light of my life and my inspiration, my son-in-law and a beautiful grand daughter who makes each day the reason to get up in the morning. I'm passionate about being a grandmother. I believe that you should live your life like an exclamation not an explanation and I try to be the most positive person that you will meet.

Close Breast Cancer
Stage: I (T1 N0)I'm 57, mother to one great daughter, one fantastic grand daughter, wife, nurse and now a survivor. I had a long family history of breast cancer and was religious with my mammograms. Diagnosed with interductal carcinoma in situ the beginning of May and had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction 2 weeks ago today. Feeling well and think I'm incredibly lucky.
Treatments
- Mastectomy Working / Worked
- Not a shock, as I have been an OR nurse for over 25 years. But it's different when you see yourself as a patient.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I was very lucky in that I was able to pick the team who worked on me.
