About Me
I have lived with Crohn's but it wasn't called that as I have been through all of the ups and downs as well as all of the name changes as well. I was diagnosed at age 6-years of age and I am currently 40----something currently then you know I have a wealth of knowledge not to mention the fact that was Currently, I am on FMLA leave from my job of only working part-time due to a recent surgery on my Neck. My Passions are any and all types of Arts and Crafts such as Ceramics and Cross-Stitch.

Treatments
- Asacol Working / Worked
- It took a good month of so to work and then my cramps weren't as bad and I was able to do things I couldn't do before.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I have a theory....If you are going to play then you will pay. For instance if I eat some really "hot" food I know I will pay for it later!
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- I thought it was working or was for awhile and then I got or ended up with Pancreatitis and so I can no longer take or use it due to that.
- Azulfidine Working / Worked
- Really didn't work and all it did was to give me horrible headaches
- Entocort Working / Worked
- Worked but then my disease just got way out of control so my only choice then was Surgery unfortunately
- Flagyl Working / Worked
- I believe it did work, although I was rather young while I was on the Flagyl.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- OH Prednisone and I are "best friends" smile! I have been on high doses of prednisone since I was young and I just finally got off of it sometime in 2005 finally!!
- Purinethol Working / Worked
- It worked after I got over the period of being sick.....like morning sickness and then since it is the same thing as Imuran I could not take this anymore either due
- Purinethol Not Working
- Relaxation Working / Worked
- If I listen to relaxation music and think that I am in that location it really does help me very much.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- I get these every 6 weeks and they are working wonderfully and I got off of the Asacol!
Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed as bipolar, when I was in my early 20's so about 20-years ago or so. I tried to kill myself a couple of times but was saved every time. I am currently pretty stable considering the circumstances.I have been going through h*ll and will explain later in a message
Treatments
- Depakote Working / Worked
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- Haldol Working / Worked
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- It takes this medication some time to kick in but it does work and very well.
- Celexa Working / Worked
- I have only been on celexa for a short time, before I was on Lexapro but we could not get my prescription insurance to authorize the dosage my doctor wanted for me.
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- This medication works very well for and on me.
