Papers Mood
Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Worked at some of the papers on my desk... got some things started, one or two even finished. Got things for the sponsor kids ready for mailing. Got some old unneeded stuff to the recycle bin. It's slow but happening.

Dwindling energy Mood
Wednesday, October 21, 2009 | A General Update story
I have very little energy tonight. I felt tired mostly all day and spent a lot of time asleep. I feel like I may have a flu starting. My four year old was sent home from preschool today because she also was running a fever. She is resting now and seems OK but she doesn't have any appetite. She has an appointment with an eye surgeon tomorrow. I hope she is well enough to go because we have been waiting for the appointment for a while and it would be unfortunate to have to reschedule and wait a long time again. I did not go out today. I think that was best because I think if I had tried to do anything involving exercise I would have been really zonked. Aside from my daughter's appointment at the children's hospital tomorrow I also need to run an errand to pay a bill and exchange a pair of sneakers for my oldest daughter for basketball. She is playing competitive this year and needed a pair of shock absorbant sneakers. The pair we have are good but the laces do not seem very good. I am going to see about changing them for a pair with elastic ties. She is 8 and will play center on the team. She is excited about being on the team. While she is at basketball I am taking my second oldest daughter who is six to an orientation meeting for a new martial arts class being offered at the rec center in our area. She has asked several times to learn martial arts and I told her we would go find out more about it. I hope I am not sick tomorrow because their dad works evening shifts this week and won't be available to take them out. Not to mention it would not be good for me or my 4 year old to be sick and go into the hospital. So I will wait and see how I am and how she is in the morning. But I really really don't want to have to reschedule that appt with the eye surgeon. If necessary I'll wear a mask and have her wear one too!! Wait lists are just too too long.......

That is too bad if you have to miss her appt. Ellocin has commented about getting appt.s and then having to cancel and wait a long time. Can't they put you on a cancellation list and call you short notice if you do have to cancel? I am sure with all the flu and H1N1 going around they won't want her to come in. Seems like the flu is getting anearly start this year!

I hope whatever bug you have picked up is short lived and doesn't interfere to much with the necessary appointments. Gotta *love* the long waits around here...uhhh...NOT.

Oy! What a Day! Mood
Monday, October 19, 2009 | A General Update story

Waking up this morning was rough - I was zonked. I had a rough night... now and then I have flashbacks in my sleep, not dreams exactly... and often experience 'sleep paralysis'. I was struggling for probably 2 hours in and out of states and by 5 am I was ready to give up on sleep because I was fearful if I fell back to sleep it would start over again. But as it happened, once I got through that 2-4:30 a.m. rough stuff, my last bit of sleep was ok. Still...not a restful night. So I was really quite happy when my husband announced his shift today was noon to 9 p.m instead of his usual 9 to 5. I was able to go back to bed Cool  Once our girls were in school, I was in bed again and got a good few hours...Sleep is a big issue for me. If I don't get the right sleep, everything can fall apart sooooo easily.

The afternoon and evening was ok - spent entirely with my daughters of course doing the usual kind of mom/kid stuff. Made dinner, did reading, homework help etc. They're all in bed now. They had good days so that is something I am grateful for. My six year old actually went on a class trip today - they went apple picking and she had a really fun time. Laughing

I have a lot of errands tomorrow so I'll probably just turn in myself without doing much else tonight.

Luv n hugs

LM

It amazes me how sleep can have such a huge impact on so much of the other things we go through. I too have sleep issues, not the same ones as you, but enough to understand your frustrations and joy of being able to go back to bed for a few hours. Hope you get lots of good restful sleep tonight.

Sounds like your daughter had a great time on her class trip.
