I went to the er for 15 hours and waited they gave me these high doses of something, then they sent me home and told me to follow up with my doctor. I did and so the same story continues. There are no special centers who really help you from where I am. I thank you for your support, and I pray that you have a blessed day. blessings

Close Asperger Syndrome
Diagnosed with what later became known as Aspergers at age 9. I have a genius IQ, and have pretty much gotten by on my own, with very little treatment from psychologists, other than for a time 15 years ago when I went through depression. My primary support for dealing with who I am is through my Christian faith. Otherwise, I'm now pretty much a 'nerd' on the spectrum.
Treatments
- Acceptance Working / Worked
- I've heard the term 'Cousin' used to refer to folks who have many of the positive features of AS, and minimal negative features. That's probably where I am now.

Recently diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2. Looking for more info on treatment and maintenance.

- Actos Working / Worked
- Was on Actos + Met and it worked extremely well. They recently cut me back from two 15/500 mg pills/day to one.
- Metformin Working / Worked
- They were going to put me on just Metformin, but then decided to keep me on Actos+Met, but just cut back on it.
- Eating Healthier Foods Too Soon to Tell
- Doctor said I need to do 30 minutes of aerobic exercise PLUS 30 minutes of weight training 5 days a week(!) But I'm sticking to the diet plan, which is good.
