Single, no kids, 1 cat. I have been a techie, a teacher, a wellness coach. My poor health made me stop working fulltime in 2002. I haven't worked at all since Feb 2006. I am often hard on myself interpreting my unwellness as me "being a wimp". I used to find community at work, on sport teams. I am rebuilding a life based on accepting my health limitations and communicating it to others.

I love to watch kids or animals at play and enjoy making people smile. I love the outdoors and flowers. My favorite tv shows are Just for Laughs Gags, and "So you think you can dance" [I *love* dancing and hope to return to Lindy Hop if/when my injured feet recover from Jan 06 of plantar fasciitis]. Since I have to sit so much these days, I've been dabbling with art/painting classes and African hand drumming.

Thanks for the message. Got the laptop, (check). I will check out the book, (on my list). So far I have been impressed with the staff at the hospital where the surgery will take place. Hoping my nurses are happy and appreciated.
Here's a hug to start your week. Hope you are having success with whatever your goal is right now.

Just wrote a comment on your May 20 journal entry. So sorry about having to give away the cat. I wish the best for you in moving through the grieving process. Remember not to blame yourself so much. The timing may have been wrong and/or the personality of the cat may have been a factor. Take care.
Thanks for being part of the Laughter Club. Hope all's well. Have a superb day! :)
When I start moving around, I try to keep moving because if I sit, I may not get up for a while. I find even sitting takes too much energy, so I'm either slouched, lying down or sleeping. The last few years my fatigue has gotten MUCH worse, and it's my main problem, though the Dr believes it's from depression. I don't, because I WANT to do things, but my fatigue keeps me cancelling most of my plans and isolated.
My hobbies for most of my life were sports. I was never a great athlete, but really liked participating in hiking, jogging, volleyball, racquetball, tennis, dancing, boxercise, etc. I have to start over again now because of foot injury, so must be patient until I can return to the things I loved.
I felt chronic burning in my throat in 1991 and started taking Pantaloc. Eventually I had to take 2 Pantaloc to mostly control the burning. Now I still get flare ups and use Motilium to slowly recover.
