I found out today that what I thought was Rheumatoid Arthritis for the last 2 years I found out is Systemic Lupus. The Dr. that I have had since I was 13 up until August of last year did blood work to test for Rheumatoid Arthritis in July of 2005, What I did not know was at that same time he had also tested my ANA level. I guess that it was a high of 160 . My current Dr was confused that I was not aware of this. He could not figure out why my old Dr had not told me because it was something so serious. But at least now I know why I have been having so much pain on a day to day basis. So basically I am looking for a support group online and in my area of Marietta, Ohio. Someone to talk to basically.

There is so much confusion regarding many of us with Lupus. My ANA was 180 and one doctor said yes I had it. The referring rhuematologist said no...even though I had protein in my urine too. This is a strange, vague disease sometimes. I too am in such pain. I am glad you have a doc who seems pro-active and on top of things! Michelle
