BFN - for the zillionth time
Even though I knew it was coming, the phone call from my RE's office always sucks when they give the bad …
Well, I'm not sure whose milestone it is...reicher's or mine. Even though i have watched him every single day of his life, grow day by day, I am still having a tough time realizing that all those days have added up to having a child who is old enough to be in kindergarten. that's a KID. not a baby, not a toddler, a real KID.
We all walked him to school this morning (a big deal to have all of us dressed and out of the house at 8AM). It gave me a new sense of my neighborhood to see all these families I'd never seen before out walking their kids to school. Rei has a great teacher, ("the best one") according to the dad of a 3rd grader, but it was still really hard for me to walk out of that class room. At his pre-school, you are welcome to hang out, get coffee, talk to the teachers, the other parents...and you are welcome to come to school at any time. Not so in kindergarten...you drop him off, and he's inaccessable to you till pick up. More of an adjustment for me than him, I'm sure.
I am really excited to pick him up today and hear all about his view of things.

Well, I'm out of the "wallowing, self-pity" stage and onto the "get ready for the next round" …
Well, this month off has been such a great thing for me. I've been having lots of fun and the not obsessing about …
