  A fleeing Taliban fighter, desperate for water, was plodding through the Afghanistan desert when he saw something far off in the distance. Hoping to find water, he hurried toward the object, only to find a little old Jewish man at a small stand selling ties. The Taliban asked, 'Do you have water?' The Jewish man replied, 'I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie? They are only $5.' The Taliban shouted, 'Idiot! I do not need an over-priced tie.. I need water! I should kill you, but I must find water first! ' OK,' said the old Jewish man, 'it does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie and that you hate me. I will show you that I am bigger than that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a lovely restaurant. It has all the ice cold water you need. Shalom.' Muttering, the Taliban staggered away over the hill. Several hours later he staggered back, almost dead, and said: 'Your brother won't let me in without a tie!'

  Hey little, I am sorry that Alex is not well, sounds serious. If his fever goes over 101 try to get him to emergency. There is a bad flu going around, and also strep throat so, keep down the H20, if he can eat jello things like that. Young men like your son think that they have found the secret to eternal warmth or something (smile). Give him a kiss on the cheek pure baby. I will call you soon God Bless!

  A Newfie decides to travel across Canada to see thePacific Ocean. When he gets to Nanaimo, he likes the placeso much that he decides to stay. But first he must find ajob. He walks into the MacMillan-Bloedel office and fills outan application as an 'experienced' logger. It's his lucky day.They just happen to be looking forsomeone. But first, the Bush Foreman takes him for a ride into the bush in the company pickup truck to see how much heknows. The foreman stops the truck on the side of the road andpoints at a tree. 'See that tree over there? I want youto tell me what species it is and how many board feet oflumber it contains.' The Newfie promptly answers, 'Dat dere's a Sitka Spruceand she got 383 board feet a' lumber in 'ER.' The foreman is impressed. He puts the truck in motion andstops again about a mile down the road. He points atanother tree through the passenger door window and asksthe same question. This time, it's a bigger tree and of adifferent class. 'Lord tunderin'! Dat's yer Douglas Fir and she got 690board feet.' says the Newfie. Now the foreman is really impressed. The Newfie hasanswered quickly and got the answers right without evenusing a calculator! One more test. They drive a little farther down the road,and the foreman stops again. This time, he pointsacross the road through his driver side window. 'And whatabout that one?' Before the foreman finishes pointing, the Newfie says, 'AYeller Cedar, 242 board feet at most.' The foreman spins the truck around and heads back to theoffice a little pissed off because he thinks that theNewfie is smarter than he is. As they near the office, the foreman stops the truck andasks the Newfie to step outside. He hands him a piece ofchalk and tells him, 'See that tree over there. I wantyou to mark an X on the front of that tree.' The foreman thinks to himself, 'Idiot! How would he knowwhich is the front of a tree?' When the Newfie reaches the tree, he goes around it in acircle while looking at the ground. He then reaches upand places a white X on the trunk. He runs back to theforeman and hands him the chalk. 'Dat's DA front a' dattree fer sure.' the Newfie states. The foreman laughs to himself and asks sarcastically, 'Howin the hell do you know that's the front of the tree?' The Newfie looks down at his feet, while rubbing the toeof his left boot cleaning it in the gravel and replies,'Cuz someone took a shit behind it!' He got the job. Three weeks later, he became the foreman.
