Retired. Moved back to Texas a year ago to be closer to our kids. We have a son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons. We have been married for 53 years. We are trying to live every day as best we can, knowing that tomorrow will not be as today. Everything changes - nothing stays the same. For better or worse..... we have had both.... but I sure prefer the "better".

My husband is 71 and has had Parkinson's for 12yrs. We have just been to a new neurologist/movement clinic. She put him on the Neupro patch and has reduced his Sinemet by half. So far he is tolerating the change.He has tried Requip, Mirapex and had bad results.
I am a caregiver for my husband of 51 years. He Has Parkinson's with Dystonia.He is having problems with anger,memory and confusion.I have been a member of Daily Strength for 6 months for my husband. I think I need the help of other caregivers. Thanks, pat
Hi! I have been on DS for more than a year but as a Caregiver. I have decided that I need some feedback from the Arthritis Group. I was diagnosed 10 yrs ago and have been taking Methytrexate. It was helping really well until about 4 months ago. I went to a specialist on Wednesday.When I was diagnosed they told me I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. The new doctor has taken blood work and xrayed my hands and knees. My hands have nodules in the palm. Some days I cannot close my right hand at all.
