ok...orange for happy...cause it is an incredible day outside...75 sunny and beautiful w/no humidity and a nice breeze. i am off today, and having one of the girls that works for me tonite for dinner. she recently graduated from design school, and doesn't have much support from her family, so i thought i would have a little celebration dinner for her. i have no idea what we are eating yet,lol....this weather just makes me want to garden and clean and paint LOL....arthur (ra) just wants me to sit down, drink coffee read a book and relax, haha. I AM reading a great series of books right now on king henry the 8th and the whole history of that era. "the other boeylyn girl " was the first book. now i am reading "the boelyn inheritance". It was sure crazy to have to live under the rule of one man, soley at his whim and mercy.oops, almost made a comment on our current political rule, but i will refrain.lol... i am fascinated by the whole bawdy lusty court life, and the books, which are by phillipa gregory, are very well written. i also am reading the sookie stackhouse(sookie is the main character) series of books about the vampire bill. it is now a series on hbo called true blood. the books have been out for quite some time, tho and are written by charlaine harris. anyway...i have been spending time with lily. we have our little campout in the living room once a week. she will be 4 in october. she is still my sweet child, so unspoiled. i hope she can stay that way. when i took her back home on sunday, she asked if she could stay over again sun nite. i said i had to work monday so she couldn't. her response was "grammie, you are the boss, so you could stay home if you wanted"...lol if only it were that easy...when she kissed me goodbye she said i was her best friend...what could be better than that?! and zoe is 20 months old now...loves having her toenails and fingernails painted, and loves to have tea parties with her stuffed monkey and her dollies. she also loves the library!lol...she goes once a week to choose books and bring them home. baby eli is 4 1/2 months old and eating like a horse! he sleeps all night most nights and is a really happy baby. he has just learned to squeal and practices all the time,lol...speaking of best friends...my lucy dog is doing good...many of you have asked. she sends biskies to all your pups, and kisses to you! ..sending hugs your way and a wish for a pain free week. janey

Glad that you are able to spend time with Lily each week and that Zoe and Eli are both well and happy too. Yes the times in England when the Kings and Queen ruled were fascinating. We learnt quite a bit about them in our school history. Would be really fun to go back and see how it was first hand, but only for a visit as the conditions they lived under - even the very rich - were appalling, They give third world countries a bad name.

Ms lily sure sounds like a wonderful little sweetie. So you are her best friend?? I hope it stays that way forever grammie!! All of your little ones are growning up, and sound so sweet. I had to chuckle when you mentioned our current political rule!! All I can say is I didn't vote for it. lol You are so nice to give a dinner party for that gal from work. Wondering what you had to eat?? My lilacs have bloomed and are all done for the year. I still have a few things to plant and will hopefully come up next year. Take care and will talk to you later hugs sandy
