bad weather has jd stuck in dallas! they were 3 hours and 40 minutes stuck on the ground and IN THE PLANE in colo springs to begin with! the planes radio wasnt working, then fog moved in etc etc ...don't they check the radio BEFORE they let the passengers on board??? well, they finally took off for the layover in dallas, and then he ws stuck on the ground in dallas by heavy rain and thunderstorms and poss tornadoes. well, he missed his connecting flight and the flight they gave him to substitute for it was then cancelled! so now he is on a flight leaving at 7am tomorrow morning and going to charlotte then to pittsburgh. the only problem is that great big line of tornadoes, high winds and thunderstormsthat is now in dallas is slowly heading for the carolinas and should get there right when jd does! poor jd! i will have to leave work tomorrow to pick him up IF he even gets to pittsburgh. in other news steph continues to improve, baby eli doing well. lily has a fever tonite and is sick. better not be the flu! i am completely crazy re the flu...i am very worried about it affecting my children and grandkids, as i am sure you all are. well, there goes my cell phone again...jd calling...i will check in on sunday...take care all...

well, i cooked dinner some of my coworkers the other nite and it turned out great! we had roasted red pepper chicken and garlic green beans and strawberry shortcake. deelish!...the lilacs have burst into bloom and wow what a wonderful scent in the yard! lucy and i just came back from our evening walk...its pretty warm and sprinkling out this evening. jd gets back from colorado saturday, so i have been psyching myself up for cleaning house before he gets back...lol... not much to say other than that...take care all...janey

Sounds wonderful. We are having roast chicken tonight marinated in lemon pepper and soy sauce (makes a lovely crispy skin) with roast veg and asparagus. Must be the week for the chickens. LOL Have fun cleaning - I have to go and get mine done.

Oh dear sounds like you have almost as good a plane saga as we had going to the States in 2002. Never want to go through that ever again. Sounds like he should have got a car and driven home. LOL. Glad that Steph is improving and the Eli is doing well. I am sure Lily will be fine, but understand your concern. But kids do get fevers and sick and the next day they are fine again. Hope that will be the case for little miss Lily. Poor jd, hope that he gets home soon, safe and sound with nothing more than stories to tell.

Yup I think he could have driven home quicker!! Poor guy. If that was Wayne he would be one crabby bear when he did get home. Hope JD handles it all well. That is alot of stress. Glad to hear Steph is still improving, and everyone else os doing ok including you!! Hugs sandy

I don't know what guys do to pass the time in such situations...I talk on the phone, read , shop and/or eat lol. Hopefully he ended up at home in one piece...give him and Lucy a big hug from us and hugs to you my friend, love ya jilly
