i am a workaholic! and i hate that but it does force me to pretend i don't have ra, and get my butt out and doing things. better yet i am a mom and grammie to lily and zoe. i love to read and write, and i am hooked on american idol, and project runway! i am open to new ideas about healing, and am trying to meditate every day.(not easy for a workaholic!) i also am so grateful for the medications that have allowed me to live a semblance of a normal life! hope to get to know you all better...janey

Hope that you return soon as I miss you and Lucy. The girls send sloppy kisses and some nice turkey. Misty is really doing very well since I have her on glucosamine and fish oil- running around like a young puppy again.

Miss you on here and the girls miss their friend Lucy. Misty now has arthritis we think and I have started her on daily fish oil (1,000mg) and Glucosamine (250mg) as well as the garlic and she is doing a lot better. The girls send Lucy sloppy kisses and some nice chicken. Love and hugs, Marg ☺

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
diagnosed at age 35, i am now 54. was in remission (and denial!) for many years w/just a flareup here and there. ra back w/a vengeance since 2005. was on remicade, now starting humira, after resisting meds as long as poss.
Treatments
- Humira Working / Worked
- just started it today. keeping my fingers crossed
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- worked alone and w/prednisone, but raised liver enzymes so i had to stop.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- helped get a major flare under control,but i felt weird on it
Close Pet Bereavement
i lost my chocolate lab greta at the age of 12 this year. i miss her very much and crying over her still sneaks up on me when i least expect it. i recently rescued another lab, lucy, and we are getting better aquainted every day.
Open Financial Challenges
at the ripe old age of 55 i am cleaning up my financial act! i need to symplify a little, save for retirement and fight the impulse to spend! i welcome any help from this group...better late than never!
