Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I am a 24 year old married woman has been struggling with a digestive disorder for 5 years now. Within the past 18months I was diagnosed with Crohn's, celiac,and HPV plus I've also had hypo-thyroidism since 1994. My husband and I would like to have children within the next 2 years or sooner but with my illnesses I don't want to put our baby or my self at risk. So I'm here asking for advice. :o)
Treatments
- Asacol Working / Worked
- It was a struggle trying to figure out what dosage to use. I am now on 12 pills a day and have been for about 12months now.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I have avoided wheats, glutens, ruffage, and certain fruits and vegtable. Great improvment
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Side effects at the begining were a little annoying but I over came them and have been on 3 pills a day for about 12 months now.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- This medication did work but I hate the side effects. The shaking, the bloating.... the list goes on. I only go on it for flair ups.
Close HPV
My husband and I use to be extremely sexually active. We are 24 years old, have been together for 8 years and use to swing for 3 years until I got HPV. I had severe cervical dysplasia I had surgery and haven't been the same since. It's a scary and heart renching ailment and we have finally learned to cope. It's tough but possible.
Open Hyperthyroidism
I was diagnosed in 1994 with hoshimotos, hypo thyroidism. It's been a tough road but I've come to learn the 3 dosages that I vary between. My major conflict right now is my husband and I want to have children but I don't want to be on the levoxyl while I'm pregnant. I'm looking for some advise on alternate treaments.
