I have been overweight since age 13. Fitness was not emphasized when I was growing up, but I want to change that for my children. I want to be trim and healthy by my thirtieth birthday. So far I am making good progress. I hope being a member here helps to keep me motivated. Right now I weigh 283, down 22 lbs from where I began.

I have been overweight most of my life. In my parents' house, it was more important to be mentally fit than physically fit. I am getting married in October and want to change my life. Mostly by dropping half of my body weight and toning up so I can be the wife and mother I want to be.
I want to get down to my target weight before I turn 30 and then maintain it. I am currently at 283 and want to get to 135-140 (I'm 5'8").
