Wow, what a week we had last week!! First and foremost, my son (and baby), Derek, graduated from high school last Friday night! YAY!!! I am so proud of him. Alot of the family came to see the big event. It was quite fun to have them here to see it. David's mother came to see it which we wanted very much because Derek is her only grandson. Well, needless to say, it caused total chaos in our house (because of the Alzheimers).
First of all, David had to go get her, which is a 5 to 6 hour round trip. They got home at about 7:30 Thursday night. And by 10pm, she was saying she was ready to go home there was no way she could stay. We told her there was no way to take her home right then but we would later. She didn't like that answer. So long story short, she was going to call the police on us and tell them David broke into her house, terrorized her, then kipnapped her and brought her to our house against her will. Anyway, we ended up trying to reason with her until 3:30am when she finally agreed to go to bed. But she thought we rented out the extra rooms in our house to strangers and she didn't want to stay on that side of the house with them. (They weren't strangers, but my relatives which she has known for 25 years.) That was just the beginning of the week. It went on for 5 days.
So, all I can say right now is.....WOW what a week!!!

What a miserable week at that! Except for Derek graduating! Congratulations to you both! If you had such a hard time with mother-in-law on the first night, I don't know how you managed for the next five days. Maybe if you let her call the police a few times she'd realize that her threats won't work! You definitely have the mother-in-law from hell!

I only managed the next five days because of my mother. David's mom thought she knew my mom and dad from work many years ago (which she did not). So she decided to attach herself to my mom for the next five days. The day my mom left to go home, she was done. She had to leave too.
