Hello, it's been quite a week. Last Tuesday, David went to Georgia to go to the doctor with his mother. When they went in the back, the doctor thought that David knew exactly what was going on. So David said he needed to be updated on things since it was his first time being there with his mother. He asked the doctor to put a name to what's going on with his mother. And the doctor said "She has Alzheimers and I've been treating her since 2004!!! What a shock to know that she'd been diagnosed that long ago and she never said anything to David. What's worse is that we lived right down the street from her at that time.
And to top it off, I have a friend who stopped by to see her (she had a friend with her who is a nurse). When they left, the nurse said that something needs to be done. No one should be living in those kind of conditions.
Now it's to figure out what to do next. I guess we'll take it a day at a time.
If anybody has any ideas, I'm open for them.
Thanks,
Vicky

Just hi, What do you think you guys will do? Can she live with some assisted living arrangements? It is not a disease to be ashamed of but one to make arrangements for what is coming. the need to have care with dignity.
