WHAT ANOTHER WEEK!!!
Oh, what a hellacious week with David's mom. I'll make it short and sweet. It started on Monday …
Me....I had a stroke in 1999. I've been trying to take care of my family. It's not an easy task, with one good arm and leg. I have good days and bad. I have two children. My daughter got married in Nov.'06. She married a good guy. That was one of the hardest days of my life because she moved 12 hours away. My son is 18 and just started college. He's a very handsome kid. I've been married 25 years.

hey stranger never come here anymore but when I saw your name had to shout out...since my 2nd stroke last year and my son passing from cancer I haven't felt like chatting but seeing your name brought me warm and fuzzy feelings and this of the alterative and how much you would have missed!!! Lady we are lucky to be alive no matter what shape we are in..
My name is Vicky. I'm 46 and had a stroke 10 years ago. It was a hemorrhagic stroke. I went from being on the computer to being in the hospital. It's funny, I knew what happened. I believe I heard everything while I was in the coma. The stroke affected my right side.
My mother-in-law has AD/dementia...diagnosed in 2004. But we never knew until recently. This is a totally new experience for me, never dealt with it before. She's 78 and refuses to let us help her in ANY way. We don't know what to do next. Do we force the issue or let it play out? We don't know.
In Sept. '98, I had a laparoscopy where the dr. removed a cyst on my fallopian tube the size of a baseball and discovered I had extensive endometriosis. He removed what he could. 10 years later.....I think it's back.
My husband and I are taking care of his mother, (long distance), but still doing it. It's quite a challenge.
Here for tips and advice.
